Something old, something new...

So the premiere to Get A Job is coming up next week, Thursday,October 21, 2010. I've been thinking about what I'm going to wear of course, and I came up with this

I've had it for about two years and have never worn it. So I thought this is perfect, just have to find some shoes, not so easy. Because of the weird color of the glittery gold I thought to go with some kind of dark brown pump or bootie, but that's not working, plus it's supposed to be super cold, so the silk semi-short dress thing is out especially now that I'll be working the event, I'm not into having my camera rub against my nice clothes. Now I'm back at square one. What to wear!!!

So I got a little something special in the mail today...


Can't wait to put it to use, it wasn't that expensive compared to damn near every other lens or the money I spend on clothes, shoes etc. but I, I used money from the last paying gig to get it and that was special because, I was saving it to put right back into growth. And oddly enough I was just booked for another gig, and a possible. Things are looking up. Looks like I'm going to have to do that Facebook portfolio soon, maybe this weekend. Corny but I'm pretty excited. Well goodnight back to retail hell in the morning. Fashion Weeks: Part Uno

All of these NYFW Spring 2011 photos are from Style.com Ralph Lauren. Classic white (ish), my absolute favorite. This was the first "designer" that I truly loved and wanted to by everything with his label on it, when I got my first job, in high school.
Matthew Williamson. I had only really started paying more attention to him after his collaboration with H&M, but he's held my attention ever since, and his collection was absolutely stunning.
Marchesa. I love lace, and this works. Truth be told the 60's and 70's are my absolute favorite fashion periods and this looks like a modern yet vintage spin on a classic catsuit, something I would never wear, but something I would never hate on (on the right model).

Julian Louie. First time hearing the name, I've yet to read up on her/him, so let me know if I'm super late here. These shoes Have Ado designed all over them, just saying.

So I'm playing catch up here on the fashion week posts. But I really wanted to have a real review done and point out some trends that I noticed, whether or not if I liked them, but time is getting away from me and I need to do that post after I send a story on the trends to a web paper I sometimes write for so those are some photos I "copied" early on when we were at the beginning of the Spring Fashion Weeks. They all were things I liked early on and still do, not that I liked the collections as a whole. 11:29p.m.

Hair...ughhh

Along with starting the magazine, I'm "going natural" which seems to be very popular right now, of course this is not the reason why I'm doing it though. I think what's turning this into a trend is the blogs, vlogs and websites about the process. But because I want to track my own growth I'm going to start a new page on here dedicated to my hair, that way you wont have to see posts about it, but if you're curious you can always just click the hair link that's up there next to Portfolio and Home buttons. 10:17a.m.

Pushed Back!

This is the one album I have actually anticipated this year, (I've bought others) and I'm getting annoyed with the album release date push backs. It was supposed to come out this coming Tuesday now its November 30th! Really!? At least they are doing good with not having a lot of leaks, I've only heard the 1st single "Holding You Down" and one leaked song "10 Seconds" which I read is supposed to be the next single. I know I'm the last person on Earth who still buys CD's so it better be worth the wait! 12:06a.m.
