Hmmmm, on here it seems there is hardly a difference, either way here is the photo shoot for February. Part 1 at least, hopefully there will be another before the month is out. Anyway, just messing around in photoshop with the idea of Lomo effects and Vignettes. Original Image first.

The first image of J 'Quasi" King I saw yesterday, on filmmaker Nikyatu Jusu's blog. This was just the beginning...
The photo of the man below started and debate between the boyfriend and I on how this was achieved, make-up or photoshop. We looked up Risha Rox, the makeup artist and was blown away. The amount of creative talent out here is mind boggling. I mean I'm not even sure what to say, all I know is that if this is the least bit cool/interesting to you, google them/hire them/intern for them, something.

More Snow

OMG. Blizzard Tuesday, snow Friday, snow today which is Monday, bitter cold for the next few days, people semi-hounding me for stuff I never said I was giving them, well person. Time for a vacation. In the meantime lets reflect on all the good that comes of this. The blizzard that brought a community together. I thought it was 'masterful" how my entire block worked together to clear steps, sidewalks and parking spaces. I live in a neighborhood of pretty good people and their "faux thug" children. The faux thugs are really what keep the neighboorhood from being a mini suburb in the city, but that's another post. Masterful is my new word! I just got it from the boyfriends English friend who is a doll! Oh the person semi-hounding me, if its still bothering me by next post I'll address it, now is not the time since the irritation is still current. But I will say this,I am always looking for people to collaborate with, models, stylists, hair and clothing, and make-up artists etc.

Real Peak: Printing

Nowhere near done editing/playing with the few good shots I got from this shoot but here's a better idea of what it looks like.

So I got a Canon Selphy, a little photo printer a couple months ago. I needed one for upcoming gigs or at least a potential one. I got this one mostly because is was the cheapest thing, plus after a bit of research I was convinced that its print quality was the generally ranked as one of the highest amongnst similar printers. Printing during the snow-in I realized the print qaulity is hardly what I'd consider remotely close to one of the best, that's my main issue with it, however there are a handful of other minor issue's I have with it to, nothing major at all. Either way this is what I have and I plan on buying an HP one, the one I initially started to buy, that is until Best Buy played me. Below is how it works, a yellow layer, then red color layer, then final color. I like seeing its process.

Logged in/Snowed in

Dear anyone out there, I am typing to you from Snowed in U.S.A. Due to the weather I have no excuses to not work on my hobby/side profession. Photography, all day today is photography day. Working on... but to interrupt the regularly scheduled program I being you this public service announcemet - THANK GOD THE INTERNET IS WORKING!- back to the matter at hand, working on my photography skills, just as soon as I get back in from jumping from the stairs to the top of the however many double digits feet of snow on the sidewalk... more pictures after the break.

Notice the little printer on the big one that doesn't work. Lol reminds me of the small color tv on the huge sometimes color sometimes b&w tv that sometimes works in every hoodhold in America.1:20p.m.
